I chose to establish this practice here in Bergen County because of my family roots. My family roots go way back here in Bergen County, so I wanted to be here because to me Bergen County has always been home.
As a patient, I would look for an office that has flexible hours, that is caring and compassionate, an office that listens to my needs and my concerns. Here at Malki Dental, we basically implemented a policy where we don't make our patients wait. When they're scheduled for their appointment, we value their time. If their appointment is at 9:00, they're seen at 9:00. We always ask the patient what their chief complaint is. We don't push treatment here that's unnecessary. We have very flexible hours. We have evening appointments and morning appointments, and patients love that.
Here at Malki Dental, the way we accommodate patient's financial concerns is that we work with our patients. We offer multiple options for financing. The payment plans that we work on with patients. If patients don't have insurance which many do, we offer them in-office discounts, senior discounts, veteran discounts. We want them to feel comfortable. We want them to get the treatment done that they need and is necessary. We don't want money to interfere with that.
We treat all aspects of pediatric dentistry here. The one thing that we do not do in the office is a form of sedation. So if a child needs to be sedated for whatever reason, then we'd have to refer to a pediatric dentist.
The way I would describe my business philosophy actually has to do with the way my father did business. He was a businessman, and I spent my life growing up around him and I saw how he dealt with people, how his word meant everything. It's important to me that my patient trusts me, that they feel confident in me, that they know when I shake hands with them or I tell them something, it's going to be accomplished.
