Description
The most up-to-the-minute dental technology, such as laser treatment, is used in Dr. Malki's New Jersey office. Periodontal lasers allow for gum treatment with little discomfort and fast healing. Other technology includes low radiation digital X-rays, an intra-oral camera and a cat scan used for dental implants.

Dr. Malki: One thing that I believe distinguishes us, or separates us from
other dental practices, is the wide array of dental technology
that we use. This practice basically has almost every piece of
dental technology that's out there. We don't just have it to
have it; we make sure we utilize it to its fullest so that the
patient's really getting the best dental experience and the best
treatment possible; everything from intraoral cameras, which are
cameras that can project images of teeth on the screen which
allows us to explain the patient's condition much better to them
and much clearer. Digital x-rays, which are used as x-rays. The
x-ray machine itself produces much less radiation than
traditional x-rays. That's a big plus for our patients. The cone
beam, which is an in-office CAT scan machine, allows us to plan
treatment implants much more precisely. Patients used to be sent
to a radiological center to have this x-ray taken, now it's done
here in the office.
The CEREC machine is an amazing piece of technology. Patients
can have their crowns done in one visit. We use a soft tissue
laser here in the office, which allows us to perform minor gum
procedures. In the past, we used to have to send patients to a
periodontist and they would have to be cut with a scalpel and
then sutured. With this periodontal laser, simple procedures can
be done with very little pain, very little discomfort to the
patient. The healing time is much, much faster.
